Tucked in the rolling hills of the Magalies Meander, this intimate hideaway brings our guests the beauty of the bushveld, the wonder of wildlife and the serenity of seclusion. With its thick bushveld, open land and valleys, Mahikeng Lodge combines the Lowveld, Highveld and Bushveld experience all in one exquisite lodge.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Mahikeng Lodge with its thick bushveld, open land and valleys, combines the Lowveld, Highveld and Bushveld experience all in one exquisite lodge.
The Highveld is the portion of the South African inland plateau which has an altitude above roughly 1500 m, but below 2100 m, thus excluding the Lesotho mountain regions to the south-east of the Highveld. It is home to some of the country’s most important commercial farming areas, as well as its largest concentration of metropolitan centres.

The Lowveld (is another name for Bushveld) – the Lowveld is the name given to two areas that lie at an elevation of between 500 and 2,000 feet (150 and 600 metres) above sea level. One area is in the South African provinces of Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal
